Bolton by Bowland YFC celebrate 70 Years


Saturday 19th November 2016 - Bolton by Bowland YFC celebrate 70 years with "Afternoon tea" and a good old catch up. Club members and our advisory committee are organising an informal event this weekend to celebrate our 70th year. Everyone welcome, especially those who may not have been able to attend the presentation dinner last Friday. Afternoon teas will be served between 2pm–4pm 19th November, in Bolton by Bowland Village Hall. Past members, friends and family are encouraged to pop along for a good old catch up to mark this very important milestone in the clubs history. Past President, and lifelong supporter of the club, David Howard will be sharing some of his stories, and reminiscing alongside one of the original founder members of the club Mr Frank Dinsdale. A variety of club memorabilia will also be available to view.

Children's Committee Christmas party


Saturday 3rd December 2016 - Children’s Christmas Party 2-5pm on Saturday 3rd December 2016 at Bolton By Bowland Village Hall (children up to Year 6). As in previous years please bring a little something wrapped and with your child’s name on it ready for the visit from the man in red!! Bolton-By-Bowland International Sloe Gin Competition


Thursday 29th December 2016 - The Bolton-by-Bowland International Sloe Gin Competition. As you all know this is a truly international event with previous entries from as far away as Sawley, Grindleton and even one from Barrowford!! Your brew should already be bubbling along in a dark corner getting ready to unleash on the judges on Thursday 29th December at my house from 3.00pm onwards. Everybody is welcome with or without an entry and even if you can only make it for a couple of hours please come along and join in the fun. The supper competition this year is pork casserole as in sweet & sour, apple & cider, sage & onion etc and we will provide the boiled rice.
